13th CC meeting of UML underway with no leader from Nepal faction (with photos)
KATHMANDU, July 2: A Central Committee meeting of the ruling CPN-UML began at Baluwatar, Kathmandu.
The CC members close to senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, however, boycotted the meeting as per their decision on Thursday.
Party Vice-chairman Bamdev Gautam and former Maoist leaders, who were recently inducted as UML CC members, joined the meeting.
The UML's establishment faction led by Chairman KP Sharma Oli summoned the meeting of the CC for Friday after dissolving the 10th General Convention Organizing Committee.
Twenty former CPN (Maoist Center) leaders were also included in the CC, which is being objected by the dissident faction.
The Khanal-Nepal faction has been demanding a package agreement.
