Nepal reports 836 new COVID-19 cases, total tally hits 282,890

KATHMANDU, April 16: Nepal on Friday reported as many 836 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), according to the regular media updates released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). This has taken the total infections to 282,890. 

The officials at the ministry also confirmed four more deaths in the past 24 hours. Nepal has so far reported 3,070 fatalities caused by the COVID-19 infection. The first death case in the country was reported on May 16 last year.
