Police role vital for social security and order'
Pokhara - The role of police is vital for establishing the rule of law in the society, asserted speakers of a programme held here today to mark the 62nd police day.
Praising the Nepal Police role in combating activities of crime and maintaining peace and order in the society, the speakers in the programme insisted on the need of building atmosphere to boost up morale and confidence of police force.
Western regional administrator Laxman Aryal said the role of Nepal Police in maintaining social security and order was significant. He was of the view of transforming police services as per the changing time.
Additional Inspector General of Police Kamal Singh Bam said the police was actively working to promote social security in participation of the people, law and order and was committed to proving it successful in every effort meant for maintaining law and order in the society.
