800 people of Parbat undergo heart checkup
Phalebas - Around 800 people of Parbat have undergone heart checkups at free health camps that run in different places in the district.
A total of 20 heart specialists led by Dr Anil Bhattarai attended to the heart patients. Most of the patients were found to be suffering from high blood pressure, and obesity, said Dr Bhatarai, adding that regular exercise is helpful in controlling heart disease risks. Free medicines were also handed out.
Organised by Lions Club of Shivalaya, Parbat with financial assistance from Parbat Samaj Belgium, the camp ran for two days (Saturday and Sunday). The Nepali Congress central member and lawmaker Arjun Prasad Joshi inaugurated the camp.
