Bardibas municipality provides tests for COVID-19

Kathmandu - Bardibas municipality in Mahottari district has provided tests for COVID-19 for its citizens following the detection of the infection at community level. The municipality has purchased a machine to conduct RDT and PRC tests.

Those who have come in contact with the infected people have been prioritised, said the municipality mayor Bidur Kumar Karki. "The provincial hospital had to depend on Janakpur for the infection tests without a machine.

It would take at least 15 days in general for reports. But with the facility at home, one can get reports in two days or so," he said. At least 800 swab samples could be tested a day, he said.
