Generous student provides safety materials to health workers, security persons

Kathmandu - A person studying in Denmark has contributed safety materials to the health facilities and the Armed Police Force in Baitadi and Darchula districts. The student originally from Baitadi, Pankaj Chand, sent the surgical masks, globes, sanitizers and PPE sets.

For the district hospitals of Baitadi and Darchula, Chand sent 250 surgical masks, 400 gloves, five sanitizers and four sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) each.

Similarly, for the Armed Police Force of each district, 350 masks, 400 gloves, eight sanitizers were provided by the student, said Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Force from Company 51 of the APF.

Chief of district hospital in Baitadi, Dr Basanta Raj Joshi, said the safety materials sent by the generous student from Denmark would be useful for the health workers and security persons working in the forefront in this crisis.

Despite being abroad, Chand has remembered his home district and neighbour in the crisis, which is appreciative, he added. Pankaj had ordered the safety materials online in Kathmandu and sent to Baitadi.

Workers hopeful of implementation of SC order The Nepali workers quarantined in Indian territory have hoped the implementation of the Supreme Court order that they would be brought to home.

Worker Nabin Bohara from the quarantine informed that they were bound to stay in miserable situation. He demanded the government to bring all workers into home and keep in quarantine in the country.
