Duties should be fulfilled even in tough time: Chief Minister Poudel

Kathmandu - Chief Minister of Bagmati State Dormani Poudel has argued that the working environment in the country was tough due to ongoing lockdown owing to the threat of the deadly COVID-19 outbreak. While giving directions to the security bodies to make effective security plan to combat the Corona virus pandemic, CM Poudel today said that all responsible bodies should perform their duties even at this critical hour facing the country.

He also urged the bodies concerned to monitor whether the lockdown was effectively implemented. Poudel also opined to address the issues of people who have set on foot for their respective homes from various urban centres including Kathmandu. CM Poudel further urged the federal government to permit some industries that have residential facilities for workers to begin work by maintaining physical distance. Chief Minister Poudel also directed the authorities to manage smooth supply of foods, vegetables and other necessary stuffs.

Sharing his views in the interaction, Chief Secretary at the State Toyam Ray argued that the local units should work out ways to reach the agricultural products to the customers. Similarly, chief district officers, chiefs of security bodies among other government offices chiefs shared their opinions to make the lockdown more effective in the days to come.
