Nepal face defeat at hands of Bangladesh in women cricket

Pokhara–Bangladesh defeated Nepal by 10 wickets in the women cricket championship match played here today under the 13th South Asian Games (SAG).
The match was held at Pokhara Stadium cricket pitch. Bangladesh had chose bowling after winning the toss. Batting first, Nepal made 50 runs in 19.2 overs.
Although Sonu Khadka and Indu Barma amassed the highest number of runs, 12 and 10 runs respectively, Nepal's other batswoman could not make double digit runs. Apsara Begum made five runs, Sita Rana Magar made three runs and Mamata Chaudhari one run. Bangladesh's Rabaiya Khan took four valuable wickets of Nepal. Similarly, Jahanara Alam took two wickets, Salma Khatun, Nahida Akhter and Fahima Khatun took one wicket each.
Bangladesh which was chasing a victory target of 51 runs achieved the target in 7.4 overs without losing any of its wickets. Ayasma Rahman made 26 runs not-out and Marshida Khatun made 23 runs not-out.
Rabaiya was declared the Player of the Match. Sri Lanka and Maldives are meeting in the next match which will be held today itself. Before this, Nepal had defeated Maldives by 10 wickets in a match played here on Tuesday.
