Support for journalist Rai's treatment

Itahari - The journalists based in Sunsari have raised Rs 30,000 among themselves to support the treatment of senior journalist, Sanjaya Santoshi Rai, who is suffering from heart disease. 

Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Sunsari Chapter President, Amar Khadka, and journalist, Yam Pradhan, took the initiative and collected the amount from 16 journalists who were gathered in Itahari. The journalists gave what amount they could for Rai's treatment. 

Khadka said more money will be raised among Dharan-based journalists and the total sum will be sent to Rai, who has been admitted at the Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.
