Rastriya Swatantra Party Whip Criticizes State's Insensitive Handling of Squatter Management

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Whip Krantishikha Dhital has objected, stating that the state has demonstrated insensitivity in the name of squatter management.

Expressing her views on social media on Monday regarding the recent events in squatter settlements, she questioned the state's working style. 

Whip Dhital said that the tears of squatters flowing on the streets should sting all of us. While the solution and management of the squatter problem is imperative, her argument is that the steps taken by the government are against the election manifesto and human sensibility. 

'Today, the tears of squatters flowing on the streets should sting all of us. Management of squatters was extremely necessary, but did it happen according to our election manifesto? Is a parental state like this?' she questioned. 

Dhital said, 'It was not done with the sensitivity, planning, and responsibility with which this work should have been advanced. This has only exposed the state's weakness and incompetence.' 

Her conclusion is that instead of playing a parental role while solving the basic problems of citizens, the state has pushed squatters into more pain by proceeding in a planless manner.

MP Dhital made this comment in the context that RSP has been raising its voice from the beginning for a sustainable and humane solution to the squatter problem.
