Kanchanpur Police Arrest Two Fugitives Facing Jail Time and Fines

Kanchanpur. Kanchanpur police on Friday arrested two defendants absconding in various cases and presented them before the Kanchanpur District Court for execution of sentence.

A police team dispatched from the District Police Office arrested Nareshram BK, who was convicted in a bigamy case, and Kaushila Chand, who was convicted in a case related to remarriage.

According to Tek Bahadur Rawat, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, BK was sentenced to one year and three months in prison and a fine of Rs 15,000 by a court decision on June 20, 2082 BS. Similarly, Chand was sentenced to a fine of Rs 5,000 by a decision on November 16, 2079 BS.

Both arrested defendants have been presented before the District Court for the execution of the sentence, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Rawat.
