Madhesh Chief Minister Announces Ramjanki International Stadium Construction

Dhanusha. Madhesh Province Chief Minister Krishna Yadav has stated that the construction work of Ramjanki International Multipurpose Stadium in Janakpurdham will begin from the upcoming financial year.

Chief Minister Yadav gave this information on Saturday while inaugurating the 'Nekos Cup' National Women's T-20 Cricket Tournament organized by Madhesh Sports Council in Janakpurdham.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Yadav said that the Madhesh government is serious about the construction of Ramjanki International Stadium. According to him, the construction work of the stadium will begin in the upcoming financial year at a cost of 256 crore rupees.

He clarified that the provincial government is bringing special plans for the development of the entire sports sector including cricket in this year's budget. He also expressed his commitment to upgrade the sports grounds in all eight districts of the province.

On the same occasion, Madhesh Sports Council Member Secretary Shivji Yadav said that the goal is to connect the youth of the province with sports and professionalize this sector. Mentioning that the development of the sports sector will create the basis for the prosperity of the state, he stated that the council is committed to making Madhesh a 'sports-oriented province'.

A total of eight teams including Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim Province, and APF are participating in the Nekos Cup National Women's T-20 Cricket Tournament which started on Saturday. The tournament matches will be conducted in Janakpurdham and Birgunj, while the final match will be held in Birgunj.
