Oli criticizes internal disagreement in UML

Kathmandu, December 15 — Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that there are currently three types of tendencies within the party.

Addressing the 'Local Level Party Work Issues and Solutions National Workshop' organized by the UML Central Organization Department on Sunday, Oli emphasized the need to adhere to correct and truthful ideology and to be able to advance it.

Oli remarked, “There are certain tendencies in the party right now. Some are quick to criticize but unable to lead; some express disagreement but cannot identify the correct path."

He added, “There are tendencies to stand out by showing differences.”

He further mentioned that such tendencies are aligned with reactionary forces, stating, “Reactionary forces create contradictions to rule, and that is their very strategy.”

Oli stressed that contradictions at various levels should be resolved by the central leadership of the party, but based on ideology, the concerned individuals should also be able to address them.

Referring to the past, Oli said, “Even though Pushpalal carried the correct ideology, he couldn’t build consensus within the party at the time.”

Targeting party leaders and activists, he added, "It’s not about what Pushpalal could or couldn’t do. Did Karl Marx come to Nepal to make us Marxists? Did Lenin or Engels come? Therefore, no one needs to come to advance correct ideology and leadership."
