16th Republic Day celebrated

KATHMANDU, May 29: The 16th Republic Day is being celebrated all over the country. This day has been celebrated for a decade and a half as the achievement of the long sacrifice and struggle of the Nepalese people.

In the presence of President Ramchandra Paudel, Republic Day was celebrated grandly by organizing a special ceremony this morning at the military platform in Tundikhel, Kathmandu.

On the occasion of Republic Day, the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Speaker, Chairperson of the National Assembly, and the heads of various political parties have expressed their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all Nepali sisters and brothers at home and abroad. They have paid emotional tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the movement to establish the republic.
