Rain and snowfall likely in most parts of country

Kathmandu– Cloudy skies throughout the country and light rain and snowfall in most of the places in the country has been forecast for today as a westerly low pressure trough was going to dominate the weather conditions. 


Bibhuti Pokharel, meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, shared that there was a probability of light to moderate snowfall in some places in the western and mid-western part of the country. 


Similarly, western part of the country will be partly to generally cloudy from tonight while weather in rest of the areas will be partly cloudy, according to the Department. 


Likewise, partly to generally cloudy has been forecasted throughout the country on Saturday while light rainfall was expected in the hilly areas. Light to heavy snowfall was likely in various parts of the mountainous region on Saturday. 
According to the latest weather report, the minimum temperature recorded in Kathmandu was 5 degrees Celsius while mercury has plummeted to minus in Jumla. 


Biratnagar has recorded the highest temperature in the country measuring at 25 degrees Celsius.
