Chautara– Senior politician of Sindhupalchowk Bhaktadhwoj Pradhan died at his personal residence in Kathmandu yesterday evening. He was 93.
Late Pradhan forayed into politics through Praja Parishad in 2015 BS. He was elected President of then District Panchayat and went on to become member of the Rastriya Panchayat from BS 2020-2032. He was reelected as President of District Panchayat again from 2038-2048 BS.
He was the member of Nepali Congress Mahasamiti following the reinstatement of democracy.
Pradhan, who had significantly contributed to the development of his home district, was suffering from Alzheimer's disease for a long time. He is survived by two spouses, three sons and two daughters.
