Chinese Vice-premier Wang led team calls on UML leaders

Kathmandu - The high level visiting delegation led by Vice-Premier of the State Council of China, Wang Yang met with the main opposition CPN (UML) leaders today. 

According to UML Secretary Pradeep Gyawali who was present in the meeting, the meeting centered on the progress of the bilateral agreements signed with China during the premiership of UML chair KP Sharma Oli. 

Gyawali added that Wang praised the UML's role during promulgating the constitution and committed to continue China's support to Nepal. 

On the occasion, Vice-Premier Wang expressed sorrow over the loss and casualties suffered by Nepal due to the natural disaster. 

Similarly, in response to Wang, UML chair Oli reiterated UML's and Nepal's 'One China Policy' and stressed on materializing the Transit Treaty reached with China during his premiership. 

Also present in the meeting from UML side were general secretary Ishwar Pokharel, deputy parliamentary party leader Subas Nembang, leaders Bishnu Rimal and Rajan Bhattarai.
