Surkhet–Surkhet police has arrested an absconding rape convict from Surkeht district on Wednesday evening.
Basudev Saud, 54, from Abalching village in Chinggad Rural Municipality-6 was arrested acting on a tip off, According to Spokesperson of Surkhet District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pradip Bahadur Chhetri.
The District Court Surkhet had sentenced Saud with an imprisonment for five years against his involvement in the rape case.
