PM Oli and Cambodian PM hold talks

Kathmandu –Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held talks with his Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen on matters relating to bilateral issues and concern. 


The two leaders also held one-on-one talks for about thirty minutes at the meeting held at Dwarika hotel in Battisputali. Prime Minister Sen arrived here today on a two-day visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Oli. The one-on-one talks was followed by delegation level talks. 


On the occasion, matters relating to mutual interest and bilateral issues and Nepal’s peace process, tourism and contemporary political issues were discussed, according to Minister for Tourism Rabindra Adhikari. 


Also present were Foreign Minister Pradip Kumar Gyawali, the PM’s political advisor Bishnu Rimal and other senior high-ranking officials. 


An understanding was reached to constitute a bilateral consultative mechanism between the two countries. A MoU to this regard was signed by Foreign Minister Gyawali and Cambodian DPM and Minister for Foreign Affairs Prak Sokhonn respectively. Another agreement on VISA concession for diplomatic and official passport holders was also signed on the occasion. 


An air service agreement was also reached between the two countries today.
