Kidney patient supported

Pokhara – A kidney patient has received Rs 35,155 in cash from National Land Rights Forum, Pokhara as a support for his treatment. 


Forum’s district chairman Prem Bahadur Gurung handed over the amount to Dil Bahadur Sarki (Nepali) of Pokhara Metropolitan City-9 by visiting latter’s residence on Wednesday. 


Construction entrepreneur Nepali is currently receiving medical treatment at Fishtail Hospital in Pokhara after problems in both of his kidneys since last April. 


Nepali’s spouse Sumitra has urged all seeking financial support for the treatment of her husband stating that around Rs 400,000 was already spent in the treatment. 


Meanwhile, Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City Man Bahadur GC on Wednesday laid foundation of ward office of Pokhara Metropolitan City-11. The two-storied building would be built within 15 months at the cost of Rs 25 million, officials said.
