Karnali CM Shahi terms current fiscal as 'year for planning'

Kalikot –Karnali province chief minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has described the current fiscal year as the 'year for study and planning'. 

Speaking at a press meet here today, he announced to carry out study on land, people's income sources, nature of habitats, food production, health, tourism, drinking water and communications in all ten districts in the province within the current fiscal year, finding solutions to problems existing in the province development sector. 

The Chief Minister arrived here today to discuss about development and technology-related issues with local-level office-bearers. 

"Areas like education, health, electricity and roads need more investment from the State," he said. He took the time to share about the province government plan of coming up with an integrated settlement development programmes to reduce State's expenditure and ensure State's services to the citizen in an accessible and easy way. 

Delay in enacting separate laws for center and provinces have prevented the province governments from performing in a result-oriented manner, according to him. 

He was of the view that uniformity in action between the State and citizen was essential to see development in the nation. (Photo available)
