One dozen of houses inundated

Bhimduttanagar – Around one dozen houses of Mahakali municipality in Kanchanpur district have been inundated due to rainfall occurred from Monday. 

The flood on Jogbudha river entered to Sundarnagar of Mahakali municipality-8 this morning and four houses as well as eighth shops have been waterlogged due to this. 

According to Area Police Office, Dodhara Chandani, some houses at Kutiyakbar area have also been inundated and the victims have been shifted to safer places. 

Police Inspector Narendra Bahadur Chand said that although the village has been waterlogged after the flood entered into the settlement, no human casualty was reported. 

He further said that a suspension bridge was at the risk due to encroachment of river. Locals and police personnel are now constructing a temporary embankment to save the bridge.
