Thaha Municipality Presents Budget of NPR 909.74 Million for Fiscal Year 2083/84

Hetauda. Makwanpur's Thaha Municipality has presented a budget of NPR 909.74 million for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84. Deputy Mayor Bharat Gopali presented the budget for the upcoming fiscal year at the 21st session of the Thaha Municipal Assembly held on Sunday.

The budget and program presented by him were presented for decision by Mayor Bishnubahadur Bisht. The budget was unanimously passed by the Municipal Assembly.

Thaha Municipality has an estimated total receipt of NPR 558.49 million for various programs and development in the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84, including NPR 124.3 million from the federal government's equalization grant, NPR 10.3 million from complementary grant, NPR 312.8 million from conditional grant, NPR 111.091 million from revenue sharing, and NPR 15 million from Dahattar Bahattar.

Similarly, from the provincial government, it is estimated to receive a total of NPR 126.252 million, including NPR 11.217 million from equalization grant, NPR 24 million from complementary grant, NPR 7 million from special grant, NPR 26.622 million from conditional grant, and NPR 57.413 million from revenue sharing.

The remaining amount will be managed from the municipality's internal revenue and other sources, said Deputy Mayor Gopali. He stated that the municipality aims to make budget implementation effective through increased internal income, strengthening tax administration, and resource management.

The budget for the upcoming fiscal year has prioritized increasing agricultural production, local road and infrastructure construction, strengthening water supply, education, and health sectors, youth and sports development, women and social inclusion, environmental conservation, and tourism promotion, he said.
