Bindra Hada Bhattarai Appointed to Global IME Bank Board

Kathmandu. Global IME Bank Limited has appointed Bindrra Hada Bhattarai as a member of its board of directors. 

The bank's board of directors, in a meeting held on Friday, decided to appoint Bhattarai to the vacant position of Independent Women Director. 

Newly appointed director Bhattarai was welcomed to the board today by the bank's chairman, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, in a special ceremony. 

Newly appointed director Bhattarai has more than three and a half decades of experience in the fields of public administration, good governance, and development management. 

Former secretary Bhattarai had worked in the Ministry of Irrigation, Office of the Nepal Trust, National Planning Commission, National Information Commission, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, and the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. 

Bhattarai, who holds master's degrees in Chemistry and Public Administration and a bachelor's degree in Law from Tribhuvan University, has pursued higher education in Public Policy (Trade & Finance) from the University of North Carolina, USA, and Nonprofit Management from Duke University. 

She is currently an executive member of South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment and an independent director of Proffesional Holding.
