Over 150,000 people receive eye care service last fiscal year

Chitwan –The Bharatpur Eye Hospital provided eye treatment of 150,000 plus people in last fiscal year. 
The service seekers from the nearby eight districts underwent eye checkups in the camps conducted by the hospital and also by visiting the hospital. Information Officer of the hospital, Ramesh Ghimire said of the 171,400 eye patients, altogether 118,455 people received the services from the hospital located at Bharatpur and Out Patient Department located at Bharatpur Height and other eye treatment centers. 

Some 30,000 people underwent eye checkups at the camps launched at different districts. The hospital had launched eye camp in Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Makawanpur, Parsa, Bara, Dhading, Gorkha and Tanahun districts, added Ghimire. 

The hospital run by Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh had carried out eye surgeries of 5,696 patients in the last fiscal year. The hospital has been providing treatment service including main hospital, OPD located at Bharatpur Height and nine eye treatment centers.
