Home Minister calls on all to take part in elections assuredly

Dang -  Minister for Home Affairs, Janardan Sharma, today said he has seen excitement among the people with the advent of the second round of local polls and a healthy competition between the political parties. 

The Home Minister made the comments during an interaction with the journalists this morning. He urged one and all to assuredly take part in the elections citing that there are no weaknesses from the security point of view. 

Home Minister Sharma noted that apart from an isolated incident, the first phase of the local level elections was conducted peacefully. He expressed belief that the second phase of elections will also be held peacefully. 

Sharma made it clear that it was imperative to hold the three-tier elections to resolve the political problem. He added that CPN (Maoist Biplov), which is trying to disrupt the polls, was also taking part in the elections in Thawang among other areas. 

He added further that the government was prepared to hold the elections in Province no 2 with participation of the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJP – N) on September 18. 

Minister Sharma said the government was preparing to hold other elections by mid December.
