For the effective implementation of the laws related to MRP and import regulation, the Ministry has approved an action plan and assigned the responsibility to the Customs Department to ensure whether imported goods have MRP. Also, I want to inform you that the Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection under the Ministry monitors this matter. Although some confusion was created initially regarding the implementation of Maximum Retail Price (MRP), I want to inform you that this issue has become normal after regular coordination with stakeholders.'

Minister Kumari also said that the government has made appropriate arrangements for the effective implementation of the Consumer Protection Act. Besides this, she informed that the government has also succeeded in removing the obstacles seen in exporting Nepali tea to India.
