MP Abhishek Pratap Shah Demands Impartial Probe into Former Home Minister Sudhan Gurung's Assets

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress MP Abhishek Pratap Shah has demanded an impartial investigation into the assets publicly declared by former Home Minister Sudhan Gurung during his tenure as Home Minister, stating they were unnatural. Speaking during zero hour in the House of Representatives meeting, he expressed questions and doubts about whether the investigation committee formed to probe Gurung's assets would conduct a fair investigation.

"The government has formed a committee to investigate Gurung. However, there are questions and doubts about whether that committee will conduct a fair investigation," said MP Shah. "The public is also asking whether the investigation committee was formed by the government to acquit him."

He also demanded the formation of a high-level and transparent investigation commission to probe Gurung's assets.
