Speaker Rules Against Leaflet Display in Parliament

Kathmandu. Speaker Dolprasad Aryal has stated that displaying leaflets in the House of Representatives meeting is not in accordance with the law and regulations.

After MPs from the Shram Sanskriti Party came forward and displayed leaflets on Monday, Speaker Aryal clarified that the law and regulations do not provide for displaying leaflets in the house. Speaker Aryal said, 'There are various styles of protest. I order you to protest while maintaining decorum. Henceforth, please protest while maintaining decorum.'

The MPs from the Shram Sanskriti Party had displayed leaflets in the house with the writing 'The Prime Minister must be accountable to the Parliament'.
