CPN UML Secretariat Meeting Convenes Today

Kathmandu. The Central Secretariat meeting of the CPN UML is convening today. According to Office Secretary Dr. Bhishma Adhikari, the meeting is scheduled to be held at 1 PM at the residence of party chairman KP Sharma Oli in Gundu. The meeting, which was supposed to be held on Jestha 2, was postponed to today due to lack of preparation.

Leaders have stated that the main agenda today will focus on the division of responsibilities among leaders after the 11th General Convention. One official said, 'There is a preparation to send central members with responsibilities at the local level.'

According to that official, each central member will be made the in-charge of a municipality and instructed to strengthen the party in the upcoming local level elections. Similarly, there is a preparation to distribute responsibilities in central departments and bodies.

The meeting today will also set the date for the Central Committee meeting to review the elections held in the past February, the official informed. In addition, leaders have stated that the meeting will also discuss the issue of squatters forcibly removed by the government, their management, and the negative impact of the government's recent actions on the public.
