Rukum West Section of Mid-Hilly Highway Closed for 20 Days Due to Road Widening

Kathmandu. Traffic services have been completely closed from today (2083 Jestha 2) in the Chaurjahari area under the Mid-Hilly Highway in Rukum West. The Road Division Office, Chaurjahari has informed that this road section will remain closed for the next 20 days for road widening work.

Periodic maintenance work is currently underway in the area of Ward No. 3 of Chaurjahari Municipality under the Syalapakha-Muskot section of the Mid-Hilly Highway. The Road Division Office has stated that the road has to be closed for widening work on the road connecting Tata Gaun Syalakola (Chaurjahari) to Matela as part of the same plan.

According to the notice, this road will be completely closed for a total of 20 days from today, Jestha 2, 2083, to Jestha 22. The Division Office states that it is mandatory to stop vehicular movement to speed up construction work and for quality widening.

An alternative route has been designated for passengers and vehicles during the road closure period. All are requested to travel from Chaurjahari-Rukum West via Kudun-Jajarkot suspension bridge.
