2,200 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs. 2.03 Million Revenue Generated

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand two hundred drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. This has resulted in the collection of Rs. 2,039,000 in revenue for the state treasury.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 168 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol, 155 for illegal 'ride-sharing', 137 for signal violations, and 152 for speeding.

Similarly, 102 individuals were penalized for not adhering to 'lane' discipline, 178 for honking in prohibited areas, 123 for parking vehicles on sidewalks, 113 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand and seventy-two for not following other traffic rules.
