Nepal Medical Association to Honor Doctors Serving in Remote Areas

Kathmandu. The Nepal Medical Association has decided to honor doctors serving in remote areas. One doctor will be honored through the Shyam Sajan Trust on the occasion of the 'All Nepal Medical Conference' to be held in Bharatpur, Chitwan on the upcoming 16th and 17th of Jestha, the association has stated.

Diligent doctors below 45 years of age working in remote areas of Nepal have been called to apply for the award. Interested doctors must submit their applications along with proof of service in remote areas by the upcoming 8th of Jestha via the official email of the Medical Association, [email protected].

According to the association's General Secretary Dr. Sanjeev Tiwari, the applicant must be a life member of the association to receive this award. Similarly, the applicant must be less than 45 years of age and must submit official proof of having worked in remote or very remote areas. The doctors applying for the award must have registered for the upcoming national conference as a qualification.

The association has stated that this award is being given to boost the morale of doctors dedicated to remote areas.
