Govind Prasad Sharma Appointed Acting District Vice-President of Rastriya Swatantra Party in Surkhet

Surkhet. Nepali Congress Surkhet's ward chairman Govind Prasad Sharma has been given an important responsibility in the Rastriya Swatantra Party just 11 days after resigning. On Thursday, he was given the responsibility of District Vice-President and Acting President of RSP Surkhet.

Sharma had resigned from the post of Ward Chairman of Viredranagar Municipality-4 of Congress on May 21. Sharma, who was established in Surkhet Congress and had served as ward chairman for two terms, has ended his 36-year-long political journey and chosen RSP. RSP Surkhet Chairman Ramesh Kumar Sapkota confirmed that Sharma has been entrusted with the responsibility of Vice-President as well as Acting President. In the last two weeks, the process of intellectual and business leaders of Congress joining RSP has increased in Surkhet. Leaders known especially in the capital Viredranagar have leaned towards RSP. Sharma said that he has been working continuously in Congress since 2047 BS and has now formally started a new journey.

After taking charge, Sharma said, 'I have been working continuously in Nepali Congress since 2047 BS, and today, formally ending a long journey of about 36 years, I have taken the responsibility of Vice-President of RSP Surkhet.'
