Social Media's Double-Edged Sword: A Call for Responsible Discourse

Don't give compassion, knowledge, inspiration, and sweet talk, friend!

We, all of us, are doing a PhD on this subject.

Freedom is only found in writing, speaking, acting, and in nature.

Otherwise, ask your inner self, where else will you find impartiality?

We are gathered to change the face of the country.

 Why are we showing a misleading spectacle on social media?

What someone writes every moment,

What they say, why are we increasing the mentally ill of the heart and mind?

Stripping each other naked, hurting the country,

Society, caste, religion, creed, faith, etc.

 Why are we flourishing the business of views?

In the race to go viral, without any thought,

 When assassinating someone's character, how many dollars or respect have you earned?

Nowadays, this network has become a place for many people to speak, read, write,

Job, business, entertainment, and a source of income.

A country sustained by remittances and in the age of AI,

Social media turns out to be a stronger weapon than thought.

Live, share, like, comment, video, followers, and status, adorned with such decorations, is the network.

Carried away by age, passion, anger, and emotion,

When speaking and writing wrongly, it becomes evidence in the future, and one has to apologize and seek forgiveness.

Should I call it a habit or intoxication, why are we letting this happen?

Why are we dividing the country into pro and con, and dancing naked in the name of nationality?

There is no rule that the responsibility and accountability of what is written and spoken must be fulfilled.

 That is why, in the name of openness, licentiousness is rapidly increasing.

Our objective is to build a beautiful country for all.

Nevertheless, unity is necessary on matters of national interest.

We are all Nepali, with pure hearts.

But by finding fault rather than solving,

What new things will the next generation learn by just protesting?
