Construction Entrepreneurs' Federation to Discuss Sectoral Issues with Secretaries

Kathmandu. The Federation of Contractors' Associations of Nepal will hold discussions today with secretaries of various ministries regarding contemporary problems seen in the construction sector and their demands. 

According to Mangal Bahadur Shahi, spokesperson of the Federation, the program is scheduled to meet the secretaries of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation after 12 noon today. 

'We have already sent a letter requesting time to meet the secretaries. We will meet the secretaries of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development after 12 noon today,' said spokesperson Shahi. 

Construction entrepreneurs have taken to the streets in protest since Thursday, citing the government's unwillingness to resolve problems in the construction sector. Construction entrepreneurs have launched protests, citing the government's unwillingness to address the problem of excessive and unexpected price hikes in fuel, construction materials, transportation, and labor costs due to the ongoing war in the Middle East.
