Weather Forecast: Rain Expected in Most Cities on Thursday

Kathmandu. According to the weather forecast, there is a possibility of rain in most of the cities of the country on Thursday afternoon. According to the detailed weather forecast issued by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in most of the major places except one city in the afternoon.

In the afternoon, there is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms in Dadeldhura, Dipayal, Dhangadhi, Birendranagar, Nepalgunj, Jumla, Ghorahi, Simara and Biratnagar. Similarly, there will be moderate rain with thunderstorms in Pokhara, Kathmandu, Okhaldhunga, Dhankuta, Jomsom, Dharan, Janakpur, Jiri and Taplejung.

The possibility of rain in the afternoon is highest in Taplejung at 60 percent, while it is 40 percent in Pokhara, Okhaldhunga and Dhankuta. In the afternoon, the possibility of rain in Bhairahawa is zero percent and it will only be partly cloudy there. Looking at the temperature, Dipayal, Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj and Janakpur will be the hottest in the afternoon, with the maximum temperature reaching 33 to 35 degrees Celsius.

Tonight, the weather will clear up in some cities in the western and terai regions. There is no possibility of rain in Dadeldhura, Dipayal, Dhangadhi, Birendranagar, Nepalgunj, Jumla, Ghorahi, Bhairahawa and Simara tonight, and the weather in these places will be 'partly cloudy'.

However, in the central and eastern regions, Pokhara, Kathmandu, Okhaldhunga, Dhankuta, Biratnagar, Jomsom, Dharan, Janakpur, Jiri and Taplejung, there will be a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms even at night.

Tonight, the possibility of rain in Dhankuta, Biratnagar, Dharan and Taplejung is 40 percent. At night, the minimum temperature in Jumla will drop to 7 to 9 degrees Celsius, which is the coldest among the forecasted cities.
