Weather Forecast: Rain and Snow Expected in Parts of Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, western winds, local winds, and a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near Nepal are influencing the weather, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Due to this influence, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are generally cloudy. The remaining areas have partly cloudy skies. Light rain is occurring in a few places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in Koshi province.

This afternoon, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the mountainous and hilly regions of the country, will generally be cloudy, while the Tarai regions will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with moderate rain and snowfall in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, a few places in the remaining hilly and mountainous regions, and in one or two places in the remaining Tarai regions until noon.

Tonight, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the mountainous and hilly regions of the country, will generally be cloudy. The remaining hilly and Tarai regions will be partly cloudy.

There is a possibility of thunderstorms with moderate rain and snowfall in a few places in Koshi and Madhesh provinces, along with the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, according to the Department.
