Nepali Congress Spokesperson Devraj Chalise Claims Current Government Heading Towards Collapse

Pokhara. Nepali Congress leader and spokesperson Devraj Chalise has claimed that the current government is heading towards collapse due to its incompetence and mistakes. Addressing a special regional gathering of Congress held in Pokhara on Thursday, he commented that the government's style of functioning has completely failed.

'It has been 46 days since the government was formed. But it has already made more than 46 mistakes,' he said, 'We have already seen the history of a government that makes 101 mistakes in 100 days falling on its own. This government will also fall in the same way.' 

In the program, he cautioned the local level representatives to consider the upcoming election as the final examination. 'The importance of 5 years is for the leaders. Now we are in the fifth year,' he added, 'This is the final examination for the local level leadership. The election will now evaluate what you have done during these days.' Chalise said that small and meaningful practical changes are needed to improve the party's image rather than big speeches.

The gathering was organized by the Central Policy, Research and Training Academy of the Nepali Congress. Central office bearers and members representing the province, provincial ministers and MPs, district coordination committee chiefs/deputy chiefs, regional presidents, and local level representatives are present at the gathering.
