Army Concludes 4-Day Defense Correspondent Orientation Program

Kathmandu. The 4-day 'Defense Correspondent Orientation Program' organized by the Nepali Army at the Jangi Adda concluded on Thursday.

The program, which began on Baisakh 28, was concluded with a special ceremony on Baisakh 31.

At the closing ceremony, Public Relations and Information Director Brigadier General Rajaram Basnet distributed certificates to 29 journalists who successfully completed the orientation program. On the same occasion, 5 FM radio stations that have been broadcasting Nepali Army radio programs in Kathmandu and surrounding districts for a long time were honored with letters of appreciation.

During the program, participants were provided with information on various aspects of the Nepali Army, and interactive sessions were held on disaster response and contemporary issues. The Nepali Army believes that such programs will facilitate and clarify news collection and dissemination related to the Nepali Army for journalists working in various parts of the country.

The army has been conducting such orientation programs to make defense sector news more effective and factual.
