Theft of Rs 1.27 Million Worth of Goods in Kathmandu and Jhapa

Kathmandu. Goods worth Rs 1.27 million have been stolen in separate theft incidents in various places in Kathmandu and Jhapa.

Gold jewelry was stolen from the room of two people, including Rajkumar Khadka, who lives in a rented room at Lambagar Bhetghat Chowk in Tarkeshwor Municipality-8, Kathmandu, on Wednesday afternoon. Police said that goods worth approximately Rs 392,000 were stolen from Khadka's room, who is from Dhading.

Another theft incident also occurred in Tarkeshwor Municipality-8. Gold jewelry and cash worth approximately Rs 181,000 were stolen from the room of 39-year-old Nisha Rai from Nuwakot, who lives in Nepalatar Dadagaun. According to the police, goods worth approximately Rs 573,000 were stolen from these two places in Kathmandu alone.

Similarly, a large amount of goods has also been stolen in Phulagachhi, Jhapa Rural Municipality-3, Jhapa. Gold and silver jewelry and cash worth approximately Rs 700,000 were stolen from the house of local Dhakala Shrestha on Wednesday.

Police have informed that the search for the absconding individuals involved in all the incidents has been intensified and necessary investigation is underway in this regard.
