Two construction workers die in Sarlaahi house collapse

Sarlahi. Two workers have died when the roof of a house under construction in Malangawa Municipality collapsed. Police said that two laborers working on a four-story concrete house of Ranjit Yadav, a resident of Malangawa Municipality-10, died after falling to the ground along with the roof. According to the District Police Office, Sarlahi, 50-year-old Chhatu Sah, a resident of Malangawa Municipality-2, and 40-year-old Rajkishor Yadav, a resident of Haripurwa Municipality-2, died after falling from the roof around 4:45 PM on Wednesday. They were plastering the concrete roof built for installing a water tank. Both sustained serious injuries to various parts of their bodies when the roof collapsed to the ground while plastering. They were immediately taken to Provincial Hospital, Malangawa, while injured. Doctors declared both dead during treatment at the hospital in the evening. A police team from the District Police Office, Sarlahi, was dispatched to the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident. The incident site is about 2 kilometers north of the District Police Office, Sarlahi. The District Police Office, Sarlahi, stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
