Speaker Appoints Prakash Adhikari as House of Representatives Secretary

Kathmandu. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has recommended Prakash Adhikari's name to the President for the post of Secretary of the House of Representatives. 

Speaker Aryal has recommended Adhikari's name after removing the previous secretary Harkaraj Rai. Adhikari, a resident of Sankhuwasabha, is a former employee who retired from the post of Deputy Secretary of the Government of Nepal.  

According to Article 106, Sub-section 1 of the Constitution, after the Speaker recommends a name for the post of Secretary to the President for appointment, the President appoints them. 

According to sources, his name has been recommended to the President for the post of Secretary of the House of Representatives in accordance with the Act Relating to Salary, Service Conditions and Facilities of the Secretary of the Federal Parliament, Secretary of the House of Representatives and Secretary of the National Assembly, 2075, to receive service facilities equivalent to a specific category secretary. However, the President has not yet made the appointment.
