Weather Forecast: Rain Expected Across Most Cities Today

Kathmandu. According to the weather forecast, there is a possibility of rain in most of the cities today. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of rain in all major cities this afternoon, while the weather will clear up in some cities only at night.

This afternoon, light rain with thunderstorms is expected in Dadeldhura, Dipayal, Dhangadhi, Birendranagar, Nepalgunj, Jumla, Ghorahi, Bhairahawa, Simara, Dhankuta, Biratnagar, Dharan, and Janakpur. Similarly, moderate rain with thunderstorms is forecast in Pokhara, Kathmandu, Okhaldhunga, Jomsom, Jiri, and Taplejung this afternoon. 

The probability of rain this afternoon is highest in Pokhara, Kathmandu, Okhaldhunga, and Taplejung at 60 percent, while it is lowest in Dhangadhi and Nepalgunj at only 20 percent. Today's maximum temperature will reach 35 to 37 degrees Celsius in Nepalgunj and Bhairahawa, while it will be lowest at 18 to 20 degrees Celsius in Jomsom.

Tonight, there is a zero percent chance of rain in the western cities of Dadeldhura, Dipayal, Dhangadhi, Birendranagar, Nepalgunj, Jumla, and Ghorahi, and only partial clouds will form in these places. However, it will rain in the central and eastern regions at night as well. 

Tonight, moderate rain with thunderstorms is expected in Pokhara, while light rain with thunderstorms is possible in Bhairahawa, Simara, Kathmandu, Okhaldhunga, Dhankuta, Biratnagar, Jomsom, Dharan, Janakpur, Jiri, and Taplejung. 

Tonight's minimum temperature will drop to 8 to 10 degrees Celsius in Jomsom, while it will be highest at 25 to 27 degrees Celsius in Nepalgunj. The probability of rain at night is 60 percent in Pokhara and Taplejung.
