1,687 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 2,031,506 Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, one thousand six hundred and eighty-seven drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Rs 2,031,506 revenue has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 85 people for driving under the influence of alcohol, 163 for illegal 'ride sharing', 142 for violating signal lights, and 117 for speeding.

Similarly, action has been taken against 66 for not following 'lane' discipline, 86 for honking in prohibited areas, 98 for parking vehicles on the road shoulder, 121 for driving on one-way roads, and 804 for not following other traffic rules.
