Land Acquisition Process Initiated for Nagdhunga Tunnel Project's West Section

Dhading. The process of acquiring land for landslide prevention in the western section of the Nagdhunga Tunnel Construction Project has been initiated. The District Administration Office, Dhading, has issued a notice giving a 35-day deadline for landowners in the affected area to claim compensation.

Additional land is required for landslide prevention in the western section of this project under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport of the Government of Nepal. According to the Council of Ministers' decision dated 2082/12/24, specific lands falling in Ward No. 9 of Dhunibeshi Municipality, Dhading, are being acquired.

The notice states that landowners must submit a formal application to the District Administration Office, Dhading, along with necessary proof, evidence, and documents related to their ownership or possession.

The administration has clarified that if an application is not submitted within the stipulated deadline, action will be taken according to the law, and no claims will be entertained later.

Various plots of land registered in the names of Akal Bahadur Tamang, Sunbir Tamang, Govinda Bahadur Gurung Lama, Kumar Tamang, and Rabin Tamang of Dhunibeshi-9 will be acquired.
