Weather Forecast: Rain, Snow, and Thunderstorms Expected Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, a westerly low-pressure system and local winds are affecting Nepal, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. As a result, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as the country's hilly and mountainous regions, are experiencing generally cloudy skies, while the rest of the regions are partly cloudy. Light rain is occurring in a few places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

This afternoon, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the country's hilly and mountainous regions, will be generally cloudy. The rest of the regions will be partly cloudy.

There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunderstorms in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, a few places in Madhesh province and the remaining hilly and mountainous regions, and in one or two places in the remaining Tarai regions. Additionally, there is a possibility of windstorms, hailstorms, and thunderstorms in some districts of the hilly and Tarai regions of the Sudurpaschim Province.

Tonight, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the country's hilly and mountainous regions, will be generally cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunderstorms in a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces.
