CPN UML Demands Rejection of Government's Policy and Program

Kathmandu. CPN UML has demanded the rejection of the policy and program presented by the government in the parliament.< /p>

Addressing the House of Representatives on Tuesday, UML Parliamentary Party leader Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal expressed the view that the policy and program should be rejected to save the nation from an extraordinary situation.< /p>

'This policy and program must be rejected to save the nation from an extraordinary situation. And it must be fully amended and rewritten,' he said.< /p>

Similarly, Badal also made aggressive remarks about the Gen Z movement and the formation of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) government. He questioned why this policy and program is silent towards those who burn the country while wearing the national flag.< /p>

'Why did the Nepali Army remain a silent spectator in a mysterious manner when the country was turning to ashes and the headquarters of its own commander-in-chief was being burned? When Lipu Lekh was encroached upon, why is the same army parading in the settlements of the landless? Why is this policy and program silent towards the dance of the TOBs, mocking the non-aligned policy?' Badal said, raising serious questions against the government.< /p>

Similarly, he accused the Speaker of being helpless and subservient even when representatives who should be cultured and civilized repeatedly displayed uncivilized behavior in the parliament.< /p>

He accused the RSP's announced commitment letter of not being for good governance, stability, sustainable peace and prosperity, democracy promotion, and the nation, but rather a design to establish RSP's authoritarianism.< /p>
