Nepal Weather Update: Partial Influence of Western Low-Pressure System, Local Winds, and Low-Pressure Trough

Kathmandu. Currently, there is a partial influence of the western low-pressure system, local winds, and a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere in Nepal, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. As a result, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are generally cloudy, while the rest of the provinces have partial cloudiness. Light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places in Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, Koshi Province and the hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces will be generally cloudy. The Terai regions will have partial cloudiness. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and snowfall in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, a few places in the remaining hilly and mountainous regions, and one or two places in the Terai regions.

Tonight, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the hilly and mountainous regions of the country, will be generally cloudy. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and moderate rain and snowfall in some places in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, a few places in the remaining hilly and mountainous regions, and one or two places in the Terai regions, the Department stated.
