National Examination Board Prepares to Release SEE Exam Results

Bhaktapur. The National Examination Board is preparing to release the results of this year's Secondary Education Examination (SEE). The board is working at a rapid pace to complete the necessary tasks after the government gave a final 'deadline' to release the results by May 29.

Controller of Examinations for Grade 10, Tukaraj Adhikari, said, "The government had given a final deadline to release the SEE results by May 29, and we are preparing to release the results within that deadline. The process of entering the examinees' marks into the 'computer' is complete, and the verification process to check for any errors is also nearly complete. If there are no technical issues, we will release the results on Tuesday."

The Examination Control Office of the Board has issued a notice providing information on how to check the SEE results. The office has arranged for the SEE results to be viewed via 'SMS' or by directly visiting the 'website'.

This year, the examination started on March 19 from 1,966 examination centers across the country. This year, 512,421 students and 23 students from one examination center in Japan had applied to participate in the examination.

The government had instructed the board to release the results of the SEE examination, which concluded on March 29, within one month, and the board had been preparing to release the results by May 29.

While in the past, results were usually released about three months after the examination concluded, this year the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Sasmita Pokharel, had instructed the board to release the results within one month even before the examination started. This year, the answer scripts were tested within three days of the examination ending at the same centers where the examination took place.

How to Check Results

The Board issued a notice today publishing a list including the websites to check SEE results. According to this, results can be checked via SMS, IVR, and various websites. The office stated that students can check their results through the official shortcode in their mobile's message box.

Similarly, Nepal Telecom has made arrangements to check results via call, SMS, and USSD on 1600. Results can be checked through the website of the Examination Control Office Grade 10 (www.see.gov.np), National Examination Board (www.neb.gov.np), and Nepal Telecom (www.see.ntc.net.np), among others.
